What changes, in short:
Below is every new and changed passage. Passages not listed here do not change.
We do not permit anyone under 18 to create accounts. Player profiles for minor children are created and managed exclusively by a parent or legal guardian.
We do not permit anyone under 18 to create their own account. A parent or legal guardian may enable a limited account for their own teen aged 13 to 17 (Section 3.5). Player profiles for minor children are created by a parent or legal guardian or by authorized league staff, and a parent or legal guardian can review, correct, and delete them.
Player Profiles (created by parent or guardian):

Referee Information (if your league uses referee scheduling or pay):
Stripe, Inc. provides transaction confirmation, payment status, and payout information
Stripe, Inc. provides transaction confirmation, payment status, and payout information, including whether a referee payout account is set up and able to receive payouts
A Player Account cannot exchange private direct messages with anyone except the player's own parent or legal guardian; all other communication happens in team channels visible to coaches.
A Player Account cannot exchange private direct messages with anyone except the player's own parent or legal guardian. All other communication happens in team channels visible to coaches or, for a teen referee whose parent or guardian turns on referee chat, in the league's referee chat, which that parent or guardian also joins (Section 3.7).
Invitations. A league can invite a teen aged 13 to 17 to referee. To send the invitation, the league may enter the teen's name and birth date and a parent's or guardian's email address. If the teen or parent is not yet on the Platform, this creates a player profile and an account for the parent or guardian to claim. We use this information only to deliver the invitation. Nothing happens for the teen unless a parent or guardian accepts and consents in the app, and we keep a record of that consent.
What the league sees. League staff who manage referees can see a teen referee's name, age, birth date, requirement records, assignments, check-ins, and pay. Coaches and parents may submit feedback after a game about the referees who worked it, including a teen referee by name; only league administrators with referee access can read that feedback.
Chat. A teen referee joins the league's referee chat only if their parent or guardian turns on referee chat, and that parent or guardian is added to the same chat. The direct-message limits in Section 3.5 still apply.
Pay. A teen referee's pay goes to a Stripe payout account in the teen's name that the parent or guardian sets up and consents to from their own account or, if the family prefers, to an account held by the parent or guardian. Stripe collects the identity and bank details for the account directly. We send Stripe only internal identifiers, never the teen's name, email address, or birth date.
Referees under 13. Where a league allows it, a parent or guardian may manage refereeing for their child under 13 from the parent's own account. The child has no account, cannot sign in, and is not in any chat. The parent enters only what the league needs to schedule the child, sees the child's assignments and pay, and receives the pay in the parent's own payout account. We never collect information from the child or send messages to the child. The parent can review or remove the child's referee record at any time.
Ending an invitation. If a parent or guardian declines or the league cancels an invitation, we delete it, together with any player profile or unclaimed account created only for it, within 48 hours. An invitation nobody answers expires, and we delete it and those records 30 days after it expires and in all cases no later than 60 days after it was created.
League staff who manage referees can see referee roster details, requirement records, assignments, check-ins, and post-game referee feedback. Staff with referee pay access can see pay rates, pay runs, and each referee's payout status (set up or not), but never a referee's bank details. Referees cannot see the feedback submitted about them.

If a league pays you, or a child in your care, for refereeing through the Platform:
(a) Who pays. The league sets referee pay and approves each pay run. LeagueLinkd provides the software and is not the employer of any referee. Questions about pay go to the league.
(b) Your payout account. To receive pay, you set up a payout account with Stripe in the app and confirm that you are 18 or older and that the account is in your own name. Payment processing services for referees on the Platform are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By setting up a payout account, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as it may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of LeagueLinkd enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide LeagueLinkd accurate and complete information about you, and you authorize LeagueLinkd to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
(c) Referees aged 13 to 17. A parent or legal guardian sets up a payout account in the teen's name from the parent's or guardian's own account and consents to it, or links a payout account the parent or guardian holds. A parent or guardian who does either confirms that they are the referee's parent or legal guardian.
(d) Referees under 13. Where a league allows a parent or guardian to manage a child's refereeing, the pay goes to the parent's or guardian's own payout account.
(e) Held pay. Pay is held until a payout account is connected and is included in a later pay run.
(f) Taxes. Each referee is responsible for their own taxes on referee pay. For federal income tax, pay for a referee's services is that referee's income, even when it is paid into a parent's or guardian's account. A tax form is required only when a referee's payouts for the year reach the IRS reporting threshold; if one is issued, it goes to the holder of the payout account.
The Organization Terms are shown to organization administrators in the app and the admin console. Organization owners also receive these changes by email.
Two phrases change. Splitting one organization across several accounts "to qualify for a smaller or lower-priced plan" is not permitted, and LeagueLinkd may treat those accounts as a single Organization "for purposes of pricing and plan size". The rest of the section is unchanged.
Every plan includes the same platform features. Plans differ only by the number of players they cover.
Use of the platform by an Organization requires a paid annual subscription. The subscription fee is set by plan size, based on the number of players on your Organization's team rosters; parents, guardians, coaches and administrators are not counted. Subscription fees and any applicable taxes will be clearly communicated prior to activation and shown in your account settings or on your invoice before any charge is made. Your plan is sized when you subscribe. If your number of players grows beyond your plan during a subscription year, no additional charge applies for that year; your plan is re-sized at renewal as described in Section 3.3. Where accounts are treated as a single Organization under Section 1.6, player counts and applicable pricing are determined across those accounts together.
By providing a payment method, you authorize LeagueLinkd to charge applicable subscription fees on the agreed billing cycle. Organizations billed by invoice agree to pay each invoice by its due date. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period, using the payment method on file or by invoice, unless canceled prior to the renewal date. At least 30 days before each renewal, LeagueLinkd will notify your Organization's billing contact of the plan and price for the next subscription year. The plan is based on the largest number of players on your Organization's team rosters during the current year and may move up or down. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in this Agreement or required by applicable law.
If a payment fails or an invoice is past due, LeagueLinkd may suspend access until payment is resolved.
Organizations may cancel their subscription at any time through the in-app billing settings or, for Organizations billed by invoice, by written notice to the billing address shown on their invoice. No phone call or additional approval is required. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active through the end of the then-current billing period, after which the subscription will not renew and no further charges will be made.
The free-trial paragraph is removed. There is no free plan and no free trial.
(a) What the feature does. If your Organization turns on referee pay, LeagueLinkd lets your Organization set referee pay rates, review the games each referee worked, approve pay runs, and pay referees through Stripe. LeagueLinkd provides the software. Your Organization decides who referees, which games each referee works, what each referee is paid, and which pay runs to approve, and is the party paying the referees.
(b) Your responsibilities. Your Organization is responsible for: (i) the pay rates, adjustments, and pay runs it approves; (ii) deciding whether each referee is an independent contractor or an employee, and any tax withholding, reporting, insurance, or other obligations that follow from that decision; (iii) complying with laws that apply to the people it engages, including laws on the employment of minors such as minimum ages, limits on hours and times of day, and school hours; and (iv) resolving pay questions and disputes with its referees. LeagueLinkd is not the employer of, and does not engage, assign, schedule, or set the pay of, any referee.
(c) Funding a pay run. Only an owner of your Organization can connect or remove the bank account that funds referee pay. When an authorized administrator approves a pay run, your Organization authorizes LeagueLinkd, through Stripe, to debit that bank account for the run total plus the fees shown before approval. Once those funds are received, each referee's share is sent to that referee's connected payout account. Bank transfers take several business days and LeagueLinkd does not guarantee a payout date. If a debit fails or is reversed, the related payouts may be held or canceled, and your Organization remains responsible for paying its referees.
(d) Fees. The per-payout fee and any processing costs are shown to the approving administrator before a pay run is approved. Fee changes follow Section 3.4.
(e) Referees under 18. Pay for a referee aged 13 to 17 is sent to a payout account in the referee's name that a parent or guardian set up and consented to, or to an account held by the referee's parent or guardian. Pay for a referee under 13 whose parent or guardian manages their refereeing is sent to the parent's or guardian's own payout account. Pay is shown under the referee's own name.
(f) Referees without a payout account. Pay for a referee without a connected payout account is held and included in a later pay run once an account is connected.
(g) Records. LeagueLinkd keeps a record of each approved pay run and payout for at least seven (7) years (Section 5.5).
(h) Stripe. Payouts are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Terms of Service (Section 4.1). Each referee, or parent or guardian, who receives pay accepts Stripe's terms for their own account.
Authority to enter information about minors. Before your Organization adds, invites, or imports any information about a minor, including a name, birth date, or a parent's or guardian's email address, your Organization must have the authority and any parent or guardian permission needed to do so. Your Organization will enter only the information it needs, will promptly correct or delete information about a minor when a parent or guardian asks, and will not invite a child under 13 to hold an account. Teen referees communicate with your Organization's staff only in the league's referee chat, which their parent or guardian also joins, or in team channels; the platform does not support private one-to-one messaging between Organization staff and minors.
Referee pay records, including approved pay runs and payouts, are transaction records and are kept for at least seven (7) years.
